Jamb 2023 cutoff mark – jamb utme 2023 university/polytechnics cutoff mark for admission.

The JAMB (UTME) cut-off marks for the 2023/2024 admissions have been disclosed after today jamb policy meeting.

It was part of the decision that was reached at the 2023 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics & College of education) in Nigeria taking place at the National Judicial Institute, Abuja today June 24th, 2023.

According to JAMB Registrar, Is-haq Oloyede, stated that the approved minimum benchmark isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. The meeting establishes a minimum acceptable score, but institutions still have the liberty to raise their minimum points higher than the agreed benchmark, reflecting the unique requirements and standards of each institution.


JAMB Cutoff Mark For All Institutions

JAMB fixed the minimum scores for candidates to secure admission into universities in Nigeria at 140. The Board also pegged the minimum cut off marks of Polytechnics at 100, while that of Colleges of Education was fixed for 100 as well. However, the institutions are at liberty to decide individual cut-off marks but no institution will be allowed to admit any candidate who scores below the the stipulated benchmark.


Post-UTME Form/Registration Price

The board also pegged the amount for Post-UTME screening at N2,000. According to JAMB, any institution interested in conducting any form of screening could do so, but the charge for the screening should not exceed N2,000 only.

With the announcement of the cut-off marks, Public tertiary institutions will begin announcing their Post-UTME sales forms and screening dates. Candidates are to be on the look out for such announcements.
